AACTA-nominated animated documentary, Woven Threads challenges the conversation on mental health through real stories of profile and everyday Australians. ‘Woven Threads: Stories From Within’ features the mental health journey of celebrity Osher Günsberg and launches Tuesday, 16 November on SBS on Demand.
With 1 in 5 Australians suffering from mental illness, Woven Threads Productions has launched a documentary series “Woven Threads: Stories From Within” backed by the Black Dog Institute to spark positive conversation and initiate real change. Airing on SBS on Demand, 16 November 2021, the series explores stories of teen depression, domestic violence, eating disorders and men’s anxiety.
Nominated for a 2021 AACTA Award in the category of ‘Best Short Form Entertainment’, the series is created and directed by Michi Marosszeky and produced by Paul Sullivan. The 8 x 5 minute series narrates human experience through powerful animation to encourage empathy without judgement from its audience. As part of the series, Australian media personality, Osher Günsberg narrates his raw and emotional journey managing OCD, anxiety and PTSD throughout his high-profile career.
Woven Threads: Stories From Within has received principal production funding from Screen Australia.
